back in the 80's i worked for an export company specialising in interesting
cars. i have driven 100-4, 100-6, 3000, xk120,140,150, etype 6&12, various
triumphs, and more mercedes than i'd prefer to admit! the bugeye is a
breath of fresh air in comparison. and! if you try to enjoy any of the
stone age sports cars after you get out of your rice ride rocket ship,
forget it! unless you are a die hard sports car enthusiast you are going to
hate the ride, handling and lack of power if you attempt to compare vintage
to modern equiptment! but! if you are gifted with the ability to
apreciate a car for the era it represents and enjoy that time capsule
"experience", then you are a minority and should feel lucky to be able to
enjoy sampling that sort of experience. me? i learned to apreciate what
i have (that darn bugeye) and that's why i still have it and a few others
too!

chuck
the same darn bugeye for 29 years and counting!
