Jack,
Measure the thickness (not "Thickoness") of the pump and the housing. I may
have a housing that's thick enough for your pump. The pumps can wear
because, among other things, they are before the filter: the oil that they
pump is unfiltered.
What are the bearing clearances?

Hal

Told wife about problem, she say so pull the engine, this is supose to be a
hobby. She is thinking, this will keep him out of trouble for awile longer,
hehe.

Oil is clean as if it just came from the can. Castrol GTX 20-50.

Popoff looks fine, seat is good.

Guage is spot on at 20,40, and 50 pounds.

Guess it has to be the pump. How the heck do they wear out. What wears? How
long does a raceing engine pump last? Have you guesed by now I wish to learn
about pumps?
Is there a heavy duty one?
