I put an Alpine boittle with basket under the header tank.
Ran a hose to the header tank overflow tube and simply
repalced the cap with a coolant recovery cap.

Worked great. You could watch hot water fill up the tank
and then get sucked back in.

Simple sqaure coloant recovery tanks are readily
available at any parts store oir trailer towing shop.

has anyone tried putting a plastic bottle with the air squeezed out on the
end of the overflow tube from the header tank?

if the hose is sealed into the bottle will it suck water back into the
header tank when it cools down (or you change altitude), or is it not sealed
properly at the neck of the header tank?

i'd be interested in hearing about any sealed cooling system modifications
people are using.

thanks.
