Hi all,

I have a TR7 Jan/75. Just in front of the radiator, there are two metal
plates attached with rivets bearing the following numbers; T000616CG and
000786CG.

Any ideas as to what this numbers are?

On the engine block is stamped CL863UE. Is this number decoded in some
manner (like the Comm No.)?

I am having a difficult time trying to positivly identify how much of this
engine is original. I fellow I bought the car from bought it with the
original engine burned up (over-heated big time) but was given a Saab engine
to put in.

I have researched and found that Saab bought their engines from Triumph so
alls well there. The head, however, has no place for the air distribution
manifold. I cannot identify where or what this head came from. It looks
brand-new. The intake manifold I am told was the original. (?scratching my
head?)

My problem is this. With no place to connect the air distribution manifold,
there is no need for the [dirvertor valve/air pump/one way valve/temp sensor
in breather] emmissions chain. Any thoughts? Is there a custom
modification that can be made to include the air distribution manifold or
remove the whole chain from the engine?

How can I identify the head?

Thanks in advance for your input.

'75 TR7 Comm.No. ACL590U [#590 and the body has no significant rust. Can
you believe it?]
