here's the good news.....she passed inspection yesterday and is almost
legal, pending acquistion of license plates this week!!

Tom,

This is pretty common, you'll probably need to replace the rear springs.
You can either get OEM or Heavy Duty spring from Moss, TRF, etc.  As
far as the shocks, you can check them like any others, bounce the rear
of the car, and if there's little or no damping (more than two oscillations),
they'll eed to be replaced.
