To answer some of your questions, in the process of replacing almost every
panel on the 70 Spitfire (don't ask why :-P ! ) I ordered a pair of floor
panels. One from Victoria British, and one from The Roadster Factory.
Other than being painted a different color (one black the other gray) there
is no difference, both have the same exact dimples, nuts welded in, drain
plugs, etc. It would appear that they both came from the same stamping die
- BTW they are all Rover approved parts ( nothing less! ) The reason the
floor is no longer supplied in one piece, at least from what I've been told,
is (1) that the original die is no longer available and (2) it would be too
expensive to ship a complete floor pannel ( too big for UPS ) even if the
die was still around.
