Tom Tweed:

Pete here, with more clarification on my TR6 clutch trouble. You mentioned
DOT-3 type fluid, and I have only used the recommended DOT-4, and once,
DOT-5 silicone fluid. Not that DOT-4 fluid is not hydroscopic... but this
happened when I used DOT-5, also. I change the cap gasket every time I do
a rebuild, and if you saw my initial posting describing the problem, you'll
remember that I did nearly ten, if not ten, rebuilds in roughly two years.
Do you think that motor oil could invade the system somehow?

Thanks,

Pete Chadwell
