Dear Paul;
If you have a period TR3 OD transmission it is a straight bolt in affair,
except for the addition of an OD electric switch on the dash.
If you install a later TR4 OD transmission, elongation of the rear motor
mount attachment is required, and it does work fine. Just grind, or file
out the rear motor mount holes enough to drop over the attaching bolts. The
stock drive shaft, etc. is fine, nothing needs to be channged.
The routing of the Speedo Cable changes. Get the OD speedo cable as
specified. I have a 59 TR3 which works fine with this set up.
The biggest problem today is finding an OD transmission, so if you have
gotten that far your are half way there.
