Justin,

Yes I have the answer, courtesy of Chris Kantarjiev of the Dimebank Garage!
I found out that my motor was cooked in the resistor/field wiring but
fortunatley I had two more used motors. One looked like it had been under
water for a couple years when I got it open. The other was dirty but the
guts were OK. I took the best of all three and made a good motor.

Now to your question.... from the GT-6 Service Manual

G goes to one brush and one end of the field.

N/LG goes to the other end of the field and to the resistor (which is
wrapped outside the field wires in white insulation).

R/lg goes to the terminal that the other brush/red switch wire is hooked
to.

I opened the end and took an ohm meter to ring out the wires. If your not
sure how to do this let me know and I'll reply in detail.
