Bob:

I'm just completing a body on restoration of our TR4A.  Rust-free floors
and rockers were installed from a donor TR6.  TR6's do not have the
channels (in the rockers) plus the existing channels in the door frames of
the TR4A were in poor shape.  

As I was completely replacing the interior, I consulted with John Swauger
at The Roadster Factory.  John convinced me to eliminate the channels and
go with  TR6 weather-stripping.  Unlike the TR4A version which comes in two
parts (the rubber goes in the channel while the furflex goes inboard on the
lip), the TR6 piece is one part and goes on the lip.  The look and function
is similar.

I left the channel on the windshield but used TR6 rubber weather-stripping
outboard of the furflex.  You can't see the channel and it doesn't interfere.
I'm very happy with the result.
