Ian,
Thanks for sending me your thoughts.
Firstly,I refuse to get into any kind of argument with you here on this
list,or indeed privately,(I have more important things to do),and this will
be my last mail on the subject.
You are of course entitled to your opinion about what the TSSC is
about,that's fine.
I must however, disagree with you about the TSSC's not being bothered about
providing good service,IMO you are plain wrong.
I will forward a copy of your mail to the TSSC for their information.
I'm sure you realise that the insurance market/quality of cover/service and
indeed prices change year on year, whichever company is providing the service.
I have had similar feelings about at least 4 or 5 other car insurance
companies, since I have been driving, all of them more expensive than
TSSC/Footman James.
If you are happy with Pete Best/Club Triumph, then that's fine by me.
I'm sure that Doug is more than capable, even at the 'tender age of 24',of
shopping around for his insurance cover and making his own decisions on
exactly which insurance company, indeed which Triumph Club to go for!
Their are of course more factors to take on board than just getting the
cheapest possible cover.
I have no axe to grind with Club Triumph, indeed I get on very well with many
Club Triumph members, including Derek Pollock, the Secretary,I'm certain he
would agree with me that there is nothing to be gained from disenchanted
individuals using this superb forum to 'have a go' at other clubs.
Never mind,as I already said, everyone to their own...
Ian,keep on enjoying your GT6-2,a fine car.
Leon F Guyot
TSSC International Liaison Secretary
and Triumph enthusiast,for life!
ps.Doug,I look forward to seeing you tomorrow night!
