Just guessing - You might have got some extra time from the cold hose water?
This water is probably underground temp of about 65 deg.  Could the flush
chemical reduce heat transfer?  The water would take the heat slower and the
thermostat reading would lag behind water temp.

I'd be careful about leaving the super flush in.  When I used it, my heater
valve started leaking (actually flowing).

I also use the fill and flush system (Prestone also?).  I pull the heater hose
from the heater valve and insert a tee and short section of hose.  I then hook
up the garden hose and flush with fresh water.  There is a plastic part that
goes in the top of the radiator to divert the outflow water.  I stick a 4 ft
section of old garden hose in this to send the water outside the car.  I catch
the first 5 gallons of outflow and take it with the drained antifreeze to my
local hazardous waste collection facility.  The first time I did this, I was
surprised at how long the water ran brown.
