I can't remember, without looking to see, if a cigarette lighter was a
factory catalogued option on the TR3A (bet it was, though). But TS71909L
(DOB 3/28/60), which I've had since 1972, has what looks to be a circa
1960 COSCO lighter. Undoubtedly this was U.S.-sourced and dealer-
installed; I've seen them on several other TR3s over the years. Mine has a
wonderfully overstyled chrome knob that would be right at home in a DeSoto
Adventurer or Ford Galaxie 500. It's installed on the LHS of the dash,
possibly in the hole where the O/D switch would have gone otherwise
(haven't looked at the car in some time, but it's in that area).

Back then (1972, that is), exact replacement elements and sockets were
readily available in Kmart and other highly respected automotive parts
suppliers. :-)

On the windscreen washers, I'd like to add a question. Were the "jets"
installed on all TRs regardless? All the TRs I've owned seem to have had
them, but I'm not sure that any of those cars ever had the complete system
installed. Possibly the above car did at one time, but all that was long
gone when I got the car.
