Smiths tach light question

Esteemed fellow listers:

I'm probably not seeing the forest for the trees, but the tach light on the
GT6+ is really dim.  I'm sure it needs cleaning/replacing, but for the life
of me I can't figure out how to get the damn light out!  It's just got a
wire leading into the lamp housing, but not the same 'pull-out' type of
socket that the oil, ignition, etc.  Can anyone "shed any light"?  ;-)
