Non LBC Tele question

Back in the seventies, there was a comedy series on PBS (from England) about an
Dilbert-like account fellow who worked for a (I think) cookie factory.  Had an
incompetent boss and finally could take it no longer and faked his
death-by-drowning.  Does anyone remember that series?   Scott must have modelled
his Dilbert character after this series!
