I'm just guessing the vent pipe(that goes to the recirculation cannister in the 
engine compartment) probably has a hole in it near the rear bottom left side of 
the car. It only 'leaks' on fillup when you initially top off the tank as thats 
the time that liquid gas potentially gets into it. Did I missed something here. 
The gas line coming off the tank is also on the left rear bottom but it would 
leak all the time of course. Good luck
