I have asked this in a round about way before and have seemed to not found
my problem.

While switching into 2nd from up or down shift the gears seems to be still
rotating with power even though the RPM's have dropped, producing the
wonderful gear grind :-((

In past experiences with other manual transmission vehicles I have had the
shifter fall apart ( little nylon bushing & worn connecting rods ), causeing
incorrect shifting. Could this be a possible case here? How do I check?

Could the syncro be on the way out? How can I check?

Other ideas please.

Standard GT6 engine and transmission with a D-Type Overdrive fitted.

Thanks in advance.
