Many responses to my chest-pounding post regarding the rebuild of my TR6
hardtop. This writeup will be available to all via a kind lister's site--it
will be complete by next week. There really is a sequence to this operation,
and I would recommend right off that anyone looking for a headliner consider
requesting a swatch of the fabric prior to purchase (or use the old
headliner as a template for a new one at your local auto interior shop--it's
almost cheaper, and you can choose the material off the shelf). Most
headliners use material that is very thin, and do not have the semi-cloth
back treated with anti-rot chemicals.
