Panhard Bars

In a recent discussion on making a TR3 handle a bit better, one of my
friends suggested I look into adding a panhard bar to the rear of my
car.

Question, Will it do much for the car? Where exactly would you put it?
I've read about roll centers and such but where exactly would the best
place on a "3" to put it?

Any help would be appreciated.
