Hi folks. Well, my little darling 73 TR6 is back from the body shop.
Looking much, much better thank you very much. But my gears are still
grinding. I had hoped that maybe the car would be like a person... feeling
a little under-the-weather? Get a haircut. So my car had body work and a
paint job and it's still feeling a little ill. (I'm a biologist by training
- not an engineer).

After driving in any gear the car will not shift into 1st or Rev without
grinding BADLY - unless one puts it in 2nd first. From 2nd it will go into
1st or Rev with no problem. Oh, and downshifting from 4th to 3rd must be
done sloooooowly to avoid the dreaded grind.

Any thoughts on what the problem is? The clutch seems nice and tight. I'm
thinking syncro rings - but that's only because I read about them the other
day in a magazine.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
Frank Boothroyd
