I was at Porky's drive-in on a Saturday night some years ago. I had my MG
Midget. I received no unkind words from the street rodders except for one
guy who said, "That's the ugliest car I ever saw. Looks like a mushroom."
The other street rodders seemed as perplexed as I that this guy called my
(admittedly unpretty) car after an edible fungus.
