Hi to all on the list

I have a TR4 which I purchased mid restoration, in a dismantled state and
missing its 'a' type O/D gearbox. I have not been able to find a suitable
replacement TR4 gearbox locally and to import one from UK or USA would be
prohibitively expensive. However I have a 2500 saloon  'a' type O/D gearbox
which I have been told can be adapted to fit. I would be interested in
hearing from anyone on the list that has undertaken or knows of a similar
gearbox conversion. Specifically, I'm looking for guidance on the following
issues:

* the rear mounting on the saloon O/D unit is different from that on
the TR4. I understand that some chassis mounting changes need to be made. Is
there a pattern part for this or is someone able to give me some guidance;
* I have been advised that the input shaft is different and that this
will require a different clutch to be installed. What is the suggested
clutch to use with this conversion?
* The speedo drive housing on the saloon O/D unit is angled
differently to the TR4 unit. I understand that this will require some
alteration to the transmission tunnel/cover. Is someone able to give some
guidance on the manner of this alteration?

Cheer
