  Your 57 TR3 should not have the problematic restrictor valve.  The problem is 
in your pedal adjustment.  The linkage has pushed the m/cyl piston too deep 
into the bore and blocked the relief hole.  The Bently manual shows a spec for 
clearance between the stop bolt and the pedal, and ISTR .010", but whatever it 
was I had to double it to cure the same problem on one of my cars.
