I'm doing a CV refit on my '72 TR6 half-shafts.

Question:  on the inner boot, the small one over the splines in the
split shaft, is the fat end of the boot NOT clamped to the shaft with
wire?

Mine weren't, and it seems to me the inner boot could be configured
either way, clamped/not clamped on the fat end.
