I have the Pertronix on the Stag and the TR6, very reliable, knock on 
wood.  But I would have either a spare or a set of points in the boot just 
in case they fail.  Can't imagine either would be terribly easy to find 
while on a Sunday drive, since that's when these things seem to give up the 
ghost!
