John,
TR heater valves should move very easily. Grease is the magic word. From knob 
to innards of water valve. When all is working fine the water valve should 
click home for the off position BUT it is not that critical (even at 'nearly 
closed' water flow is about 99% stopped). If you drill out the rivet you can 
access the valve mechanism to clean it up and give it a good lube job. This 
works 
well with OE parts - not sure about AM parts.

Most of the LBC's I've seen have the same control valve/cable setup. Is 
there a special way to adjust the valve/cable?
