john, thank you fpr your reply. what we have here ie simply a generator that 
has a output of 21 amps and when your start adding those others features as 
you mentioned your can creat an overload. as far as the value of the car, 
generator vs. alternator, since there is no drastic alterations needed to 
switch 
over i have to say no. so it comes down to this, does one build a car to please 
the judges or does one build a car to enjoy and please the driver?     LARRY
