I've had a number of responses to the question I posted about the
sidescreens
that came with my TR3A.

It turns out that my screens are from JC Whitney, not a DPO hack of some
original ones. As such, they are not suitable for refurbishing.

The common recommendation was that I should seek out a pair of old
(original)
sidescreens instead and redo them. I also had some feedback that new
sidescreens from TRF are very nice, and --- though expensive --- well worth
the
money.

Thanks to Randall, Andy Mace, Ed Woods, George Richardson, Harold Sawatsky,
and Jim Bauder for responding.
