Joe,
There is a 10mm difference in rack-rod length (sorry - don't recall which is 
which!).
I think the 10mm difference can be countered by adjusting the ball joints if 
you're swapping racks.
The TR4A rack has a SMALL HOLE DRILLED ON TOP OF TUBE where a small nylon 
pellet sits on the rack-rod and is held in place under the passenger side 
rubber 
mount, as an anti-rattle item. This helps identifying racks - you'll see the 
little hole under the right mounting rubber on all TR4A/5/6 rack tubes but not 
on TR4 tubes.
All else the same I believe.

List,
What are the differences between the Rack & Pinion Assembly of the TR4 and 
the TR4A.
Are they interchangeable, as is, or with minor changes?
