Herman Van den Akker  says those are all junk ... imports with bad 
electronics that ended up killing two or three of his  batteries 
before he saw the light.  He recommends the  following Alternator for 
conversion:
        Delco Alt,  1979865   REM 2.275  buy ONLY from a GM  Dealer ...

I have found that what Herman says is generally from his mouth to God 
... <G>  Seriously I trust him implicitly...
