FWIW Jim, I have driven my TR3A long distances, and the original seats work
quite well IMO.  To my mind, the main reason for considering Miata seats would
be the head "rests" (I still suffer from whiplash caused by being rearended in
my TR3A many years ago).  Plus of course the headrest speakers are seriously
neat.

However, the Miata seats are farther off the floor, so at least some
modification of their frame is likely necessary.  Don't forget the tonneau won't
fit either, unless you have it modified with pockets for the headrests.
