So take the ground strap off the tub, get out your pocket knife, and create
a clean spot where it will be hidden by the end of the strap. While you're
at it, run a tap through the captive nut, and clean up (bare metal) the
contacting surfaces of the bolt & it's washer. If memory serves, there is
supposed to be a serrated edge washer in there somewhere, the serrations of
a new washer should be able to cut through paint but probably not Bondo.
