Can someone check 86.35.15, Ignition timing adjust, paragraph 14-17. It says
to take off the retard vacuum line, then check that timing at idle speed (800)
is per the specs on 86.35.00. The spec says 4 ATDC, but wouldn't that be WITH
the retard line hooked up? It says right before paragraph 13 that taking off
the retard line should increase the RPM by 500. So if you set timing without
retard, wouldn't RPM drop to 300 after you hooked it back up? Doesn't seem
right.
What do those of you who don't run with retard set your timing at using a
light?
