The reason I questioned the accuracy is because it did specifically mention 
disconnecting the retard unit and all US market distributors had one. 

So, since my vacuum retard isn't working, then the idle can only get as low 
as 1300, I assume. The 800 with retard, plus the 500 you gain with 
disconnecting it. I haven't seen the 75 vacuum unit listed anywhere for sale 
and I'm not 
even sure how to take it off the distributor. I looks like a press fit. On a 
Spitfire I had, I was able to rebuild a vacuum unit using a diaphragm out of 
another unit. The parts store was nice enough to let be browse their stock to 
find one of similar diameter. I may try to do that again, if I can get the unit 
off. 

By the way, what is the "TVS"?
