The answer to that is simple. The factory never placed carpet under TR3
seats so you would be docked the same number of concourse points either
method.
My suggestion is to use the method that allows you to remove the carpet
for drying outside the car when it gets wet. Permanently installing it
between the rails & floor pretty much guarantees future rust though there.
