Wow... I've been out of town the past couple of days, and returned to
find an in box full of "Birthdays" messages. Since everyone is now
sharing their first Triumph experiences, I'll share mine...

My best friend's parents always had LBCs while we were growing up. I
seem to remember that they were all MGBs and Midgets until my first or
second year of high school, when his dad bought a TR6. I had seen
lots of Spitfires and TR7s (in fact, there were several at my high
school), but I'd never really paid much attention to them. However, I
will never forget the first time I laid eyes on that maroon TR6. I
decided right then and there that I wanted a TR6.

After going through a couple of Datsuns, including a 1977 280Z
(http://members.cox.net/1963tr4/Miscellaneous/280z.jpg), I finaly
managed to secure my first Triumph, a 1972 TR6 in 1986 while in
college(http://www.geocities.com/tr4_1963/mytr6.html).

After selling the car in 1993, I went through a period that I like to
refer to as the Dark Ages before acquiring my current Triumph, a 1963
TR4, in 2001.
