fuel tank clean-up

Hello All,

I have been slowly starting the partial restoration of my
63 TR4. My question to you today is about the fuel tank
clean up. I plan use muriatic acid and want to know what I
should seal it with, or is this even a good idea? There is
residue from old gas and a little rust.  I seem to remember
some discussion about this, but did not make note of what
was suggested at that time. I appreciate any advice offered.
