It might be worth mentioning here that almost any automotive supply house 
(Kragen, Checker, Pep Boys or whoever sells cheap parts in your area) will have 
an aftermarket add-on oil pressure gauge for around $20.  I keep one in the 
toolbox.  Fittings can be a problem, but for a temporary test it's OK to use 
'rubber' fuel line and clamps to make a connection.  Force the rubber over the 
end of the braided hose in the original TR line, and over one of the fittings 
supplied with the gauge.
