Dear listers,
I'm rebuilding my TR3A motor and the camshaft has some surface rust on some
of the lobes.

Should I take it to the local machine shop and see if they can polish it
down to clean?

Should I have it reground? Will the local automtive machine shop have a
master book with the profiles or should I send this to some specialist
somewhere.

I was going to see what I can do with a scotchbrite pad tonight. any other
at home methods recomended?

The lobes don't look worn nicked or dinged to me, just some light rust has
formed while the motor sat in storage for many years.

Thanks,
Curt Fisher
