I heard somewhere that Ford used positive ground because his friend, Thomas 
Edison, told him to. And Ford trusted Edison's advice, with good reason.

I don't know why Triumph used positive ground, but I do know one thing: It 
wasn't because positive ground causes electricity to conduct better in misty 
weather.
