But to answer what I think your original question was, Yes, it will run just
fine with 86mm liners and the stock TR2 carbs.  You might miss out on a few
bhp from not having the larger carbs and improved cylinder head design, but
only close to redline.  You'll still get the increased torque at lower rpm
(which is where you care about on the street anyway).
