The price of the Alpines seems to be in the eyes of the buyer. I paid 2400.00 for mine (series 3 GT) and it was in the same shape as you discribe. I thought I could restore it for around $9000.00 but

Found a Series II in the same condition with a hardtop. Paid $1,000 for it. Depends how much you want it. Be prepared to put out a heck of a lot more for a proper restoration. Even with a rust-free A
