Ah, that's the magic question, isn't it? Speculation/claims have included the 1. No cars were equipped with Solexes from the factory (in the US at least). All Solexes were a dealer-installed option.

Yep, I found the same problem on mine when we went through the body years ago. Discovering that the gas tank was basically suspended by only the filler hose on the right side kind of freaked me out.
