My 66 1600 has stock points, dont' know what kind of coil, and the resistor has never been hooked up. I don't even know where the heck to wire it, so I never messed with it. It has always run great,

OSH, Orchard supply hardware, has foam in sheets and rolls. It comes in various thicknesses. It is a very high density foam that glues very well. I use it for a cushioned surface on my work benches.
