Check the end of the master cylinder pushrod where it links to the clutch pedal. When I replaced my master cylinder, I found that the hole for the clevis pin had become a slot. I was loosing almost

You mention that the overdrive was recently serviced. It would pay to check that the hose to the clutch slave cylinder enters the bottom of the cylinder rather so that the bleed screw is at the top.
