I am putting together a mostly stock '86 305 for the street. I wanted a 2 bbl carb for some economy and traded a guy for an early intake and Rochester 2GCV carb. The intake is P/N 8877652 dated D186.

I know the lines between the trans and the cooler or radiator are normally steel, but has anyone used hoses instead? I think they would be much easier to route and keep out of harms way than steel. W

I think the replacement balls have a threaded shaft with nut for attaching. A new ball and other components will not compare with the newer style tie rod ends. If non-original is OK, I'd go with the

If you have ever driven an AD without wing windows (and NO air) compared to one with vent windows, there is a big difference. My black '48 in August here in Texas is a killer. God bless stock trucks!
