- It is actually kind of a mis-representation as well. It actually only has multiple sparks at lower revs. When you get above 3000 the MSD box switches from a multispark to one big giant fat spark. Bec

- The Crane has three modes compared to MSD's two, but you're essentially correct. I suppose you'd prefer they change the MSD name to Multiple Spark When A Miss Would Be Most Noticeable, Big Fat Spark

- MSD stands for Multi-Spark Discharge, as far as I know - it refers to performance ignition systems (By the company MSD as well as others) that zap the plugs a few dozen times per power stroke rather
