Depending on what you want to do, an inertia switch will protect you in an accident (they are not dependent on the mass of the car to work) and an oil pressure switch will help in a loss of oil press

Another point is are you willing to drive 5 hours with a dolly only to determine a trailer is needed? Check with U-Haul in the vicinity of the GT6 if you are doing this to reserve/standby a trailer.
