Use a hardwood dowel. You can cut the end at an angle to make a pointy scraper. Vacuum the port out when finished but the carbon bits really won't hurt anything as they pass through the engine. keit

Lecture follows, The float bowl cover gasket is cork. It only needs to be snuged up, not cranked on. Too tight and it squeezes out causing leaks and possible breakage of the top. Now that I have that

There is a quartz clock retrofit for the Z cars. I wouldn't think that the roadster clock is that much different. Also, the guts from the later roadster clock fit into the early clocks. keith

I'll assume you're talking SU carbs. I think what you need is a short wrench. Also the carb may need to move away from the manifold to get the nuts off the studs. Remove the top nuts and as you loose

Well, there are only a couple things left. Take the float bowl cover back off, remove the fuel inlet fitting and float valve and make sure they are clear and free. My bet is gummed up float valves. O
