IMHO, I would fill the cyl with marvel or or pentrating oil as well as the crankcase. Spin the engine by hand and put decicant to absorb moisture and seal in a plastic bag. -- I Erbs Portland, OR ___

I have my new boot lock in hand. You need to remove the pin holding the handle into the bezel. ther should be a release pin hole in the handle piece. put key in and insert strong paperclip like thing

based the replys I have gotten, the concern is air starvation to rear carb. Especially on tri-carb engines. Not sure why it was a good idea on the 4 cyl cars, but the 6cyl. Maybe the carbs are closer
